As parents, we all want to ensure that our children develop and maintain a consistent oral hygiene routine that will continue into adulthood. At Lifepath Wellness Dental, as Chestermere Children’s Dentists, we offer a program to take care of your children’s oral health, including teaching your child to brush and floss in a way that is fun and enjoyable.
In addition, at Lifepath Wellness Dental, we believe your child should begin their dental experience at an early age, which is why we follow recommendations by the Canadian Dental Association for children to have an assessment by a dentist within six months of the eruption of the first tooth or by age one.
Ricky’s First Dental Visit
By assessing children every six months to one year, we are able to identify and treat problematic areas in the mouth with procedures such as white fillings to treat cavities and fluoride treatments to strengthen the teeth between cleanings. Early dental visits also help identify problems such as improper bite, impediments to normal speech development, habit control for thumb sucking, and other oral habits that may impact development, nutrition, and the health of the teeth and gums.
Our team of dental professionals will educate your child in a fun, interactive, and positive manner to emphasize the importance of how proper brushing, flossing, and healthy nutrition impacts their oral health.
By following these guidelines, it is our goal to help your child grow up with healthy teeth and gums that will last them a lifetime!
